Product Information

• The Pruitt F3 Carotid Shunt is made with a new, more flexible material that is resistant to kinking, is color-coded for easy identification, and has 10% increased flow over the original Pruitt-Inahara Carotid Shunt
• The Pruitt F3 Carotid Shunt is secured in the vessel using occlusion balloons that eliminate the need for clamps. This reduces vessel trauma and allows for the use of a small incision, minimal dissection, and a short arteriotomy.
• Plaque endpoints can be visualized because the balloon holds the artery open during the procedure.
• This is especially important with high stenoses, when clamps cannot be used.

BALLON SPECS

• Internal carotid balloon: made of latex, the balloon has an 8 mm diameter at maximum liquid capacity of 0.25 ml. 
• Common carotid balloon: has a 14 mm diameter at a maximum liquid capacity of 1.50 ml. Blue common carotid balloon corresponds to blue stopcock to simplify common carotid balloon inflation. 
• Safety balloon: if the internal carotid balloon over-inflates, the extra pressure is diverted to the safety balloon. 10-12 PSI is ideal for maintaining internal carotid balloon pressure; safety balloon inflates at 13-17 PSI.
