The Parietex™ composite ventral patch is intended for the reinforcement of adbominal wall soft tissue where a weakness exists for primary ventral hernia repair.

The Parietex™ composite ventral patch is designed to allow intraperitoneal mesh placement by open approach. The mesh is made of a non-absorbable three-dimensional monofilament polyester textile on one side and an absorbable, continuous and hydrophilic collagen film on the other side.

The Parietex™ composite ventral patch has a macroporous textile that enables consistent  tissue integration. while the absorbable collagen film is designed to minimize tissue attachment to the mesh when in direct contact with the viscera.

The Parietex™ composite ventral patch contains a unique fixation system that enables fixation on four cardinal points, reducing the risk of cupping effects and visceral entrapment that may lead to recurrence
