Product Description
UML1 - JOHNSON & JOHNSON - Hernia and Fascial Repair Mesh UltraPro™ Partially Absorbable Polypropylene / Poliglecaprone-25 12 X 12 Inch Square Undyed with Blue Striping Sterile, Box of 1
- ULTRAPRO™ Mesh is manufactured from approximately equal parts of absorbable poliglecaprone-25 monofilament fiber and non-absorbable polypropylene monofilament fiber
- The polymer of the undyed and dyed polypropylene fibers is identical to the material used for dyed/undyed Prolene™
- After absorption of the poliglecaprone-25 component, only the polypropylene mesh remains
- The structure and size of this remaining mesh are designed for the physiological stresses to which the abdominal wall is subject
- Hernia and Fascial Deficiencies Repair Mesh
ULTRAPRO™ Macroporous Partially Absorbable Mesh offers strength with reduced foreign body mass1A which may reduce the risk of patient complications compared with mircroporous mesh.2 In a study of patients from the International Mesh Hernia Registry (IHMR), patients demonstrated low rates of intra- and post-operative complications, such as seromas and recurrence, after 1 year.3B In the same study, patients reported improvement in pain and movement limitations from baseline at 1 year postsurgery.3B
